Survivor Gabon

On the 5th episode of Survivor Gabon, Fang's camp was invaded by an elephant. Only Ace & Matty decided to take a closer look, as the rest of the tribe was scared of the elephant. If I was on Fang, I wouldn't try to frighten the elephant, but I would take a closer look as elephants are my favorite animal. I wouldn't be scared at all myself because I know that elephants are herbivores. At the reward challenge, the tribes had to throw various kinds of fruit into the their goal which was blocked by 2 members from the opposing tribe. The tribe who caught the most fruit by weight won an herb garden and all the fruit collected in the challenge. At first, Fang had a huge lead over Kota who had almost no fruit at all, because of Ace's excellent fruit blocking skills. Kota eventually decided to throw 2 pieces of fruit at a time which was too much for Ace to handle. Shockingly, Fang never caught on to Kota's strategy and stuck with throwing 1 piece of fruit at a time. Additonaly when Kota got the hang of getting the lighter fruits into their goal, they started throwing the heaviest fruits available. In the end, Kota's change of strategy was enough of a comeback for them to win the herb garden and all the fruit caught in this challenge. When Fang got back to camp, GC was getting fed up with the rest of Fang so much that he even used the tribe's kayak to get away from the rest of Fang suggesting he wouldn't participate in the immunity challenge that was approaching. His tribemates constantly called his name, but he ignored them all until just a few moments before the immunity challenge when he finally decided to participate. At the immunity challenge, the 2 tribes had to throw a ball made out of sticks while down a hill where 1 blocker who was blindfolded and 1 caller to aid their blindfolded tribemate from each tribe tried to prevent the ball from going into 1 of the goals each worth a different amount of points. Ace (Fang) and Dan (Kota) were the blockers, while Sugar (Fang) and Randy (Kota) were the callers. After each tribe member who wasn't a blocker or caller did this once, the tribe with the most points won immunity from tribal council. It looked like Fang was going to win for almost the entire challenge, but in the very last round Ace blocked his own tribe's ball while Kota scored 2 points which was enough for Kota to win immunity 8:7 as for Kota was behind Fang by only 1 point. Back at Fang's camp GC told Matty that he wanted to be voted out. Matty then told the rest of Fang about GC's request. Crystal looked through Sugar's bag which contained the hidden immunity idol from Exile. Sugar should of found a better hiding place for her hidden immunity idol. Leaving the bag for others to clearly see is just plain stupid. Now that the rest of Fang knows that she has the idol, she has an unecessary target on her back which could lead to the idol being flushed out sooner in the game. In fact, Fang aside from Ace and Sugar considered voting her out as GC's desire to quit provided them with a perfect opportunity to blindsight her. At tribal council, Fang voted out GC 6:1. Did GC even watch Survivor before he applied for it? After all, in all 16 of the previous seasons of Survivor the most stragegic players all backstabbed, lied, and betrayed other castaways at some point in the game which according to GC is why he quit. Basically, GC said he quit because he doesn't like how the game of Survivor works. From Fang's prespective I think they should of let GC suffer through another week and voted out Sugar as for she's a strong player, has the hidden immunity idol, and she wouldn't of expected at all to be voted out due to GC which would easily blindsight Sugar, and make the hidden immunity idol available to another castaway.

Survivor Gabon Theme

Survivor Gabon

On the 2nd episode of Survivor Gabon, the remaining castaways had to wrestle 1 of the other tribe's castaways off a pole and drag them across the finish line. The 1st tribe to that twice would win blankets, and a hammock. Ace made a smart move for Kota to sit out their 3 strongest women; Corinne, Jacquie, and Kelly (this challenge required and equal number of men and women on both tribes). Fang sat out their weakest man; Ken. Fang won the comfortable blankets and hammock thanks to the 2nd round when Fang easily forced the physically weak Paloma across the finish line. Fang then decided to exile Sugar from the Kota tribe. That proved to be a bad move for Fang as Sugar found the hidden immunity idol while she was exiled. At the immunity challenge, the castaways had to go on a slip and slide into the water where they would have to swim to grab a numbered puzzle piece. When all 6 of the puzzle pieces were retrieved, the puzzle solver (Kota chose Bob while Fang chose Ken) would have to have to use the puzzle pieces to solve a math problem which would be solved with the numbers on the puzzle pieces. When the puzzle was answered correctly it would open up a chest which would contain an axe in it which would be used to cut down a rope rasing the tribal flag. The 1st tribe to raise their flag would win immunity. Kota was the 1st to retrieve all 6 of their numbered puzzle pieces from the water. Fang caught up when Ken made quick work of the math puzzle which Bob struggled on. Ken's puzzle work won Fang immunity. At Kota's camp Ace smartly came up with a plan to convince his fellow tribe mates to vote off Paloma who is Kota's weakest castaway. I think that Ace was right on Paloma being the weakest even though Bob was responsible for Kota losing the immunity challenge, because most of the challenges in Survivor are more physical than mental. At tribal council, Ace's plan worked and Paloma was voted off 7-2. I'm defintely rooting for Ace to win right now as he's currently the smartest player in the game.

Big Brother 10

On the final week of Big Brother 10, the 3 remaining house guests (Dan, Jerry, and Memphis) had to stand on an airplane that constantly titled from left to right (a lot like a pendulum). The house guest who stayed on the longest would win the 1st part of the 3 part final Head of Household competition guaranteeing that house guest a spot in the 3rd part of the competition, meaning they would not need to compete in the 2nd part of the competition. Jerry lost his balance and fell off the plane 1st, and a little bit later Memphis decided to save his energy for the 2nd part by falling off the plane next giving his fellow Renegade alliance member Dan a ridiculously easy guaranteed spot in the 3rd part. In the 2nd part, Jerry and Memphis had to show the Head of Household and the 2 nominees for eviction for each week in the Big Brother house as quickly as possible. They did this by putting on boxing gloves and knocking down all of the cardboard house guests that were not either on the chopping block before the veto ceremony or Head of Household that week. Memphis won this competition by a landslide which sealed Jerry's eviction regardless of who became the final Head of Household as for Jerry was ineligible to compete in the 3rd part. I was desperately hoping Jerry would manage to win Head of Household as for I was rooting for him to win after my favorite house guest Renny was evicted. Not to mention I can't stand either one of the Renegades (Dan and Memphis). In the 3rd part which technically did not event matter, Dan and Memphis had to guess what statement each jury member made while they were in the jury house. Julie Chen gave Dan and Memphis 2 possible choices. 1 of them was true and the other was false. Each correct response was worth 1 point. The house guest who had the highest score after all 7 questions would become the final Head of Household of Big Brother 10. I knew all of the answers, though that's probably because all of them were very memorable and was shown on a previous episode of Big Brother 10. In the end, Dan became the final Head of Household, and obviously chose to evict Jerry making Dan and Memphis the final 2. On the season finale of Big Brother 10, Dan and Memphis were questioned by the jury about why they were more worthy of $500,000. The jury then voted for Dan Gheesling to win Big Brother 10 by a unanimous 7-0 vote. As much as I couldn't stand Dan, I will say he was better than Memphis who went under the radar the whole game while Dan did Memphis's dirty work and played the game very strategically as well.
